Unscheduled Protocols

To monitor patients via the phone, there are two strategies: proactively call patients or wait for patients to call the practice. CCIQ supports both approaches but was initially designed for proactive outreach. To better support practices that wait for patients to call them, protocols can now be Unscheduled.

When a patient is unscheduled, CCIQ no longer builds a monitoring schedule for the patient. Instead, staff can manually add answers whenever patients call them. The major benefit of marking a patient as unscheduled is that the patient is never moved into the late status. Further, whenever a patient is marked as reviewed, they stay in that state for the remainder of the month or until a staff member creates a new set of answers. Both of these help to keep your dashboard clean.

The unscheduled feature is only available for phone patients. Patients on technology must have a schedule
