Time Summary Panel

Time Summary Panel

This video highlights the Time Summary Panel in ChronicCareIQ. In this tutorial, users learn how to view the Time Summary Panel and determine billing times for actively monitored patients. A dashboard task will also appear to help users identify patients who need more time to become billable for the month.

The time summary panel is intended to aid users in maximizing time for billing performance and display time metrics. The time summary panel also only shows that snapshot in time. It reflects patients who currently meet the selected monitoring thresholds and does not represent the finalized monthly billing totals.

It is divided into the current month time and the previous month time, showing patients who fall into the 3 categories:

  • Less than 15 minutes of time

  • 15-20 minutes of time

  • Over 20 minutes of time.

As throughout our product, you can click the bars on the graph and filter the patients to those who meet that specific criteria. In addition, additional information will be displayed showing how the patients are eligible for billing and what actions could be taken by staff to get them to the next billable threshold.

CCIQ recommends that all practices develop a workflow that includes review of all patients in the 15-20 minute filter at the end of every month, as these patients are the closest to getting to the 20-minute interaction time needed for billing. You can determine if any interaction or management can be made on these patients to get them over the billable threshold.

In addition, a monitoring task will appear on the dashboard during the last 10 days of each month to display patients who are close to the next billable threshold. The task will show care management suggestions to get these patient to their next threshold in order to maximize billing opportunities.

CCIQ recommends that all staff users do the following tasks each month to capture care management activities:

  • Review patient charts and document all non-face-to-face interactions.

  • Add all offline care activities’ time to patient comments

  • Call all RPM patients to check their health status and update documentation to assist in getting to billing thresholds. RPM billing requires a “Log Call” or “Interactive Comment” action to trigger billing
