ChronicCareIQ allows the comment and log call dialog box to be “Docked” at the top of the screen. This docking feature will allow staff to continue to enter comments or log calls while being able to navigate the chart at the same time. The “dock” feature can be found in the comments or call log dialog box:
Using the Patient Chart Header, staff can navigate directly to the docked comments feature by choosing “Add Comment” under the Action tab. This will bring up the docked comment box directly at the top of the patient chart:
When entering “Comment” from the “Chart” tab, the comment will open to the full dialog box for comments. The full comment dialog box can be changed to the dock comment box at any time using the icon:
While the comment or call notes are docked, the staff can navigate to other areas of a patient chart while keeping the comment box open. The comment box will also stay in place at the top of the screen while scrolling down in the patient chart.
To use the “Frequent Comments” or “Frequent Call Notes”, add offline time adjustments, or use the Post date comments features, simply navigate back to the full dialog screen using the docking icon as shown above.
If the user navigates away from the patient chart while a comment or call notes are docked, the comment will automatically save and a confirmation message will appear. These comments can be further edited by using the “Edit Comment” dropdown in the comment log as normal:
As long as the staff user has an action movement on the page, the automatic logout of staff users, while they are in the full or docked comment/log call dialog box, will NOT trigger. If the user has any type of activity (such as keystrokes, mouse movement, or clicking on another tab in the chart), the user will NOT be automatically logged out.
