Assigning NEW Devices From Device List Imported Into CCIQ:
When devices are ordered from SmartMeter or Tenovi, the list of devices can be uploaded by CCIQ support staff so that those devices can be assigned directly to patients without having to create a new device entry:
Login to CCIQ
Navigate to the patient’s chart (the patient must be active)
Click on the Devices tab
Click on Assign Device
Select the IMEI device that matches the device being dispensed to the patient.
NOTE: If a device is already associated with a patient, the device will NOT show on this list.
Once the device is highlighted, click on Assign Device
Adding NEW Devices Not Imported Into CCIQ:
When dispensing and performing setup for SmartMeter or Tenovi devices without an import list of devices for the practice, follow these simple steps:
Login to CCIQ
Navigate to the patient’s chart (the patient must be active)
Click on the Devices tab
Click on Add Device
Select Smart Meter or Tenovi from the Manufacturer drop-down menu
Enter the device ID or IMEI
This is contained on the device packaging and on the back label of the device itself
Click the Verify button. This will ping Smart Meter or Tenovi to make sure the device is active and will automatically assign the device type for you. You should get a Valid symbol.
Press the Add Device button to complete the process
If you get an unknown device message, double-check the IMEI numbers to verify they are correct. If they are, then the device is not mapped to the practice account and CCIQ.
Please contact SmartMeter at [email protected] or Tenovi at [email protected] to have them associate the devices appropriately.
An unknown device will NOT be added to a patient.
Once setup is complete, test the device to ensure the first reading is logged correctly in the patient’s chart. The Device tab will show the last valid reading. The data will also automatically be logged in the patient’s chart section in the appropriate field (ie blood pressure, blood glucose).
Manually Sync Measurements
The Manual Sync feature in CCIQ fetches all device measurements for this month and last month. When finished, a dialog is shown that summarizes the results, as seen in the image below.
One reason to use this feature is to capture measurements taken before assigning a device to patients. This change helps to accommodate practices with different workflows.
Manual syncing can also help in the rare cases when data are missing. Since the software prevents duplicates, manual syncing can be used at any time without any negative side effects.
Smart Meter Manual Sync: 31 Day Window
Smart Meter now supports syncing device measurements within a maximum 31-day window per sync request.
If you need to retrieve measurements covering a longer date range, you will need to perform multiple manual syncs, breaking the request into separate 31-day increments until the full date range has been captured.
Please plan accordingly when reconciling historical data.
How To Determine The IMEI Or Short Code Of A Device For A Patient
To see all the device data associated with the patient’s device, click on the Devices tab in the patient chart. Click on the grey “i” icon beside the SmartMeter or Tenovi device to see any needed identification numbers for the device:
NOTE: If you enter an IMEI for an iGlucose device, it will automatically change to the serial number:
