Activating the CCIQ App
The CCIQ App Activation Code: 5844c0bf548b4f61
Login to the eClinicalWorks EMR and locate the FHIR APIs option on the Product Activation window by clicking the Production Activation button from the Admin menu.
Navigate to the FHIR APIs dashboard by clicking the Settings button on the Product Activation window for the FHIR APIs option.
Navigate to the Backend/Bulk Access Apps dashboard by clicking the Set up button on the FHIR APIs dashboard.
Add the App Activation Code above in the text box displayed on the Add New App tile, and click on the Add button: (This will send a request for approval to CCIQ.)
STOP – Notify your CCIQ-designated implementation specialist that you have completed the app activation. We will then approve your request so you can complete the remaining steps.
Once approved, the app is displayed with an Activate button in eCW. Click the Activate button to enable the app:
After activating the app, users can enable or disable the patient groups/cohorts available to the app.
CCIQ will only have access to patients belonging to the groups in the CCIQ app’s Enabled Groups list. Ideally, a single group containing all of the patients that the practice would like to have in CCIQ will be used.
Create a Patient Group for CCIQ
Navigate to the Registry module in eCW
Main Menu > Registry > Registry
Create a query by selecting the required patient demographics and clinical conditions from the respective tabs on the Registry window:
Click the Save Queries button:
A confirmation pop-up message displays. Click OK.
On the Save Registry Query Report window, enter a description in the Report Criteria field.
Check the “Save the query as a group to use with the backend/bulk access apps” box.
Click OK to save the reports as a group:
The report is assigned an auto-generated group ID that displays on the Manage Groups window.
Enable a Group for the CCIQ App
Navigate to Bulk/Backend Apps in eCW:
Admin > Product Activation > FHIR APIs > Bulk/Backend Apps
Click the Manage Groups button on the CCIQ app tile.
Select the desired group from the Available Groups list and click the right caret to move the selection to the Enabled Groups list:
Review or Update a Group
Navigate to the Registry window’s Saved Reports tab in eCW:
Main menu > Registry > Registry > Saved Reports
Click the ellipses button and select a report:
Click the Run Saved Report button:
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click OK to update and review the list of patients. The group data is updated when the report is run. CCIQ will receive changes weekly.

Final Steps
Once all the above steps have been completed, CCIQ will be sent information from eCW to configure in your database. Please note that configuration may take 1-2 days for CCIQ to set up.
